The village I live in..

Although I practically go out to Denpasar (I go to malls and places in the city of Denpasar) and work in Kuta, I live in a village called Batubulan, in Gianyar regency. It’s not a small village, I can say, for my neighborhood is not the only place that is a part of Batubulan.

Actually, this is the first time I talk about the place I live in front of public. It’s maybe because since I moved back in here, I’ve gained more acquaintanceships with this place.

Even though it is in Gianyar, Banjar Pagutan Kaja (it’s like a micro village, smaller than a village) is located near Denpasar. It’s even nearer to go to Denpasar than to the city of Gianyar itself. Here is the road that divides Denpasar and Gianyar:

This is the paddyfield in front of my house. Now it’s rainy season, people are able to grow rice in wet soil. Back when I was in high school, I liked to go walking around the paddyfield with friends just to sit around and get the view (and the fresh air!) – you can actually see the glorious Mount Agung from there:

This is the road that leads to my house. The thing I like about this village, and this banjar in particular, is that it never really changes that much. This road has remained the same since the first time I was here about ten years ago:

Last not but not least, this is actually my house’s gate. It looks so ancient, don’t you think? Well, the idea came from my dad, as he is a big fan of Majapahit and its history. And that’s Ogi, my Kintamani dog. His name came from a dog doll that we (me, my bro, and sis) used to have when we were in elementary school. Now ‘ogi doll’ is no longer ‘playable’ so we took the liberty to name our beloved dog after him:

Well, that’s all about Batubulan, the village I live in. How about you? Do you live in a city, or a village like me? :)

The rice field looks very nice and fresh and many people doesn't realize the hard works and effort to produce a good quality rice, the main entrance of your home sweet home is very nice and surely is not an easy task to keep it clean and tidy :-)

Cheers,

at It's Bdh (your name is rather difficult, it's an abbreviation, rite?): yup, and I'm so happy that people in my village still maintain their farm quite well, selain emang yang di depan rumah itu jalur ijo. hehe.
thanks, we did plan to make the house look that way though. :)
anyway, thanks for stopping by and dropping a comment. :)
