The New Year’s Blog Award

Rules:

• You must be a true lover of the New Year to receive this award. The person to whom you give the award must also be in love with the New Year.
• Post at least five New Year’s Resolutions. If you can’t limit it to five, then continue until you go out of space.
• Pass the award along to as many bloggers as you like.
• Let your recipients know that you have tagged them by leaving a comment on their site. Also, link back to the person who gave you the award.

First, I’d like to thank Rob, my new blogger friend from the Philippines for passing me this tag.

Um.. OK, to be honest, I’m a bit confused here. Even before New Year (January 1), I wondered whether I should make New Year’s resolutions. This is what I was thinking: why bother making resolutions if you can’t even be bothered to do any efforts? Well.. Um.. However, for the sake of this tag, I’ll try to make some resolutions, even though only five – wait, don’t you think five is quite enough?

OK, these are this year’s resolutions of mine (hopefully arranged by priority):

1. Be better financially, either through: a) Getting a better job, with better salary (yay! Just trying to be honest here.. haha!) – though I don’t think I’m prepared for the new challenge; or b) Having my own (small) business, even though it means that I have to prepare myself not to work any where else but dealing with my own business. Just wish me luck! (:

2. Gain more information and knowledge. Watch more movies. Write more writings. Buy more t-shirts. Eat more foods, trying as many kinds of food from all over the world as possible. Iron my own clothes. Do my own dishes. Wash my own laundry. Laugh more often. Laugh even more often and laugh even louder. Pay all my (cc) debts – basically this is the reason why I should get more money – and oh, also for the love of those t-shirts! Buy my own car – only if I really can!

3. Master at least one new software or anything about computer and technology – even though gosh, for me, this is a really deep thing! The thing is, it’s good to know things when people around you don’t even have a clue about what’s going on – tricky huh?!

4. Go traveling somewhere (really) nice with friends – try repeating our massive success! And hang out with friends (and my love!) more often. This will include me, trying to be more patient and nicer to others.

5. Live happier – through any way there is! :D

Aren’t those just the weirdest New Year’s resolutions you’ve ever read? I think my main issue this year is financial, thus #1 is the only thing counts. But so you know, those resolutions do not guarantee me to become a better person! Haha. Well, whatever. Since this tag is related to New Year and it is specifically written there that “The person to whom you give the award must also be in love with the New Year”, maybe I will just pass this tag to those who have written comments in my previous post about how I spent my New Year.
